Southern Calibration Laboratories Ltd was formed in 1990 following an employee buy-out. The two Directors have a combined metrological experience of over 70 years and still maintain a ‘hands-on’ approach to calibration. SCL continually reviews its service to ensure that it remains second to none. Being an independent laboratory allows us to be flexible in meeting individual customer’s requirements in providing calibration and repair services across a broad spectrum of industry. The Standards Laboratory at SCL has been accredited to BS EN ISO 17025 and prior to that, BS5781 by UKAS (formerly NAMAS and BCS) since 1975 (laboratory accreditation number 0080). It is a “First Principles” Laboratory allowing us to offer very low DC & LF measurement uncertainties providing customers with measurements they can be confident in. To complement our technical credentials, our commitment to providing a quality service is underpinned through our ISO 9001 approval and our membership of the ‘Buy with Confidence’ scheme regulated by the Hampshire Trading Standards Authority. We are also a Megger Approved Service centre.
